Outlets or jacks are installed in the wall or at the workstation and provide the means for connecting data equipment into the network cabling system. They can also be used to load empty patch panel frames and are available in several styles to suit the various faceplate mounts including Clipsal, HPM and Keystone. Cat5E outlets/jacks can be used in systems operating up to 100 Mbits or Class D, Cat6 outlets/jacks can be used in systems operating up to 1 GBit or ClassE, and Cat6A outlets/jacks are suitable for systems operating up to 10 GBit or Class F.
